What is MyBid.com.my?
Founded in Malaysia in 2009, MyBid is one of the Malaysia’s most innovative auction sites. Based on a unique software solution and business model, the company sells brand new products in a very low price, such as game consoles, iPods, laptops, cameras and variety of gadgets.
How does MyBid Malaysia work?
1.All auctions start at RM0.00
2.You can place bids by clicking on Bid
3.Every bid placed will increase the price of the item RM0.01 at a time
4.There is a countdown timer for each auction, extra time(10 sec – 1 minutes, depending on the auction) will be added in every time a new bid has been made.
5. If the countdown timer reaches zero (i.e. no new bids are made during the last countdown), the last bidder wins the right to buy the product at the current price.

How does the BidButler work?
An easy, illustrated introduction as to how the BidButler works can be found here
The BidButler bids for you when you haven't got the time to follow a live auction. Simply choose your price range and the maximum number of bids that you want the BidButler to use. The BidButler will then bid automatically for you within your price range.
How does the BidButler know when to bid?
If there is just one BidButler booked to bid in an auction, the bids will be placed automatically within your range at any point within the final sixty (60) seconds. The countdown will then extend to a maximum of 10~30 seconds for each bid that is placed. If there are two or more BidButlers bidding against each other, all the consecutive BidButler bids are placed immediately, and the price and countdown increase with each BidButler bid placed.
Where can I keep track of the auction(s) that I’ve bidded?
We've created “Account” for registered users so that you can keep track of all the auctions you’ve bidded. Simply click on 'Account' and select 'My Bids' for all auctions that you have placed a bid on.
Where can I see who's bidding on an auction?
To see who's bidding on an auction, just look under 'Bid history' to see a list of the most recent bidders on that auction.
I've placed a bid but I am currently not the highest bidder, why?
When a bid is placed, it will always be the highest bid, but might get out-bid very quickly. This can happen if there are many bidders or if there's another user's Bid Butler bidding on the auction too. You might not see this simply because other bids have been placed with a few seconds of each other - sometimes even within the same second!
I’ve just won an auction. What now?
Firstly, congratulations - well done on winning the auction!
Confirming your win
We’ll contact you via e-mail to explain how to do all this. Just remember to confirm that you still want the item within 7 days of the end of the auction. If you still haven’t confirmed within 21 days, we’ll assume that you’ve changed your mind and no longer want to buy the item.
Paying for the item you won
Just as for your bids, you can pay for your item by credit or debit card, or via E-Payment which supported by our electronic payments trading partner iPay88.com.my. If the item hasn’t arrived within 14 days of our confirmation of our payment, please contact us.
When does an auction end?
An auction ends once the countdown reaches zero. The system will show "Pause" to check the data and it might be reactive again not more than 60 seconds if there are some delayed bids.
Are the products being sold all new?
Yes. All products sold are brand new and come from respected manufacturers. All products come with relevant warranties whereever applicable
Is it possible to bid with a foreign mobile number?
Unfortunately not, one can only participate with a Malaysian mobile phone number, either pre-paid and post-paid.
I don’t live in the Malaysia. Can I still participate in MyBid auctions?
No, MyBid is for Malaysian residents only.
What happens if at a new auction only one bid is being submitted and nobody else raises the bid?
The auction closes once the countdown timer reaches 0 (zero) and the product is sold for RM 0.01 to that single bidder.
Can I cancel already submitted bids?
No. Already submitted bids cannot be cancel.
How do I know if I am the highest bidder?
Your nickname will appear in the auction box or below the "bid" button.
I have bought bids and there is a balance on my account. How long are my bids valid for?
All bids have no expiry. They are valid as long as the user keeps itself registered in our database.
Can I get a refund for unused bids?
No. Purchased bids are non refundable and hence users should only buy as many bids as they are comfortable spending on MyBid.
Delivery and Shipping
How long does it take until the product is delivered?
Products are usually shipped within 7-14 days after payment has been make. We’ll send you an email (which you used to register) as soon as your item has been dispatched.
What is the cost of delivery?
The winner of the auction pays for all delivery fees of the item. If you are interested in a delivery cost of a specific item then please refer to the specific auction you are interested in. Rates vary between auctions due to the size and weight of the products and destination of delivery. Rates are indicated for all destinantions within Malaysia. We use DHL, SKYNET and POS LAJU services
Has my product been shipped yet?
If you still haven’t received your product and it’s more than 14 days since you paid for your item, please immediately contact our customer service team via support@mybid.com.my.
Substitute items
On rare occasions we are no longer able to source the specific item detailed in the auction. When this happens, we will contact you and offer to send you an equivalent item of at least equal value. Many of the products we sell are high-technology items that have a short life-cycle, so often this will mean an upgrade to the newer version of the item.
Returns and Complaints
What should I do, if the item I won is faulty?
Firstly, we’re sorry that you have received an item that you are not happy with. Most of our winners have no problems with the goods, but occasionally an item might not work or may get damaged in transit. If this has happened, our aim is to solve your problem as quickly as possible. In the event that the product you received is faulty, please contact us at support@mybid.com.my within 3 days and we’ll tell you what to do next. Please, let us know the username, auction ID and the serial number of the product, as these help us to deal with your problem more quickly. We work with a range of different suppliers who are happy to help identify any problems and to replace faulty items, if necessary. Please don’t send the item back to us without contacting us – this is likely to mean that it takes longer to replace your item. If your product does need replacing, we’ll contact you and let you know what to do.
Do you offer a standard guarantee on the products auctioned?
The warranties provided on goods may vary depending on the type of item that you win. Please contact our customer service team via support@mybid.com.my if you have any queries about the warranties or guarantees that apply to an item that you’ve won.
Can I return an item that I have won?
We want you to enjoy the item you won, but if, for whatever reason you decide that you do not want the item, please get in touch with our customer service team at support@mybid.com.my and we’ll explain what to do next. When you contact us, please make sure that you let us know:

Can I get a refund on an item that I have won?
If, within 14 days of delivery, you decide you no longer want the item, we will be happy to refund the final auction price that you paid as well as the original delivery costs. The item must still be in its original packaging and must not be damaged. Please contact our customer service team for details of what to do, making sure to include the auction ID and your user name. However, please note that we cannot offer you a refund on the cost of the bids that you placed on that auction nor the return shipping cost.

Technical Problems
What are the recommended PC requirements to use MyBid?
You can participate in MyBid auctions with nearly all PCs that allow you to access the internet:
Recommended system software:
* Windows Vista / Windows XP / Windows 2000
* Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
* Linux
Recommended browser:
* Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
* Firefox 2.0 or higher
* Opera 8.0 or higher
* Safari 2.0 or higher
Recommended internet connection:
* 512k DSL connection or faster
Why hasn't my bid been registered on an auction?
Very occasionally, users tell us that even though they bid before the countdown ended, their bids did not get placed and the auction ends. In these instances, the most likely explanation is so-called "Internet lag times". These are time-delays in the transfer of data between your PC and our servers. Mostly those delays (lags) occur because single parts of the internet connection are overloaded.
This, unfortunately, is a general problem with the internet.
There are a few ways of helping minimize this problem:
* While bidding on MyBid do not download large data such as video or audio files from the internet.
* Don't send emails with large attachments while bidding on MyBid.
* Make sure that no other users such as family members, etc. are using the internet while you are bidding.
We're very sorry if your bid wasn't registered by the MyBid servers in time. To be absolutely certain that you avoid the problem of "Internet lag times" don't leave your bidding until the last second, or use the BidButler to place your bids. You can find further information in our Terms and Conditions.
I do not receive registration confirmation email from MyBid. What should I do?
Please immediately call to our customer service or contact us via support@mybid.com.my
What happens to the auctions during system downtime?
Downtime, or outage, is an occasional and unforeseeable problem with the internet, and means that bids cannot be placed during this short period when we are offline. If we experience downtime at any point, we automatically add ten minutes on to the auction end time, so that our bidders are not left at a disadvantage. It is impossible to place any bids whilst the system is experiencing downtime, so any bids attempted during this period will not be debited from your account. If this situation does occur, we advise you to refresh your screen regularly, either by pressing F5 or the refresh button on your browser.
